RUN TO CHRIST

I found myself in a dream and I can remember I was faced with some hard situation and I began to run away from God. I tried to seek console from some earthly staff in the dream, then the Spirit talked to me  in the dream,“Why don’t you run to Christ, He is everything.” Then He took me to a screen and as I watched , I saw a young man walking by the roadside, and I could see a very steep valley by the roadside. And a heavy truck hit the man with such a great force that I saw man fly up in the air into the valley, I knew that by the time he would touch the ground, he would be dead. Surprisingly, I saw the man being slowly and gentle suspended in the air. Then he was  brought down safely  to touch the ground. I saw him filled with joy, Then He looked at me and said, “you see, He saved me because I am a righteous man.” It was indeed a remarkable scene. Then  I saw a writing in the sky and it read, “Every word of God is yours, do not be afraid but have faith.” And the voice also said the same and at that instant, I woke up.  Now after I woke up, He gave me this verse, “Every word of God is pure : he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” Proverbs 30:5

Trust in the Lord

Whenever the Lord is refining us, sending a fiery, refining word as hot as the coals on the altar, we tend to seek comfort to earthly things like watching worldly movies, listening to jokes, seeking counsel from the ungodly and just turning away from the word of God, no praying, no reading His word. But what does He say, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” Psalms 1:1-2
“And my people are bent to backsliding from me : though they called them to the Most High, none at all would exalt him.” Hosea 11:7
Let God be God,  and let Him do whatever He wishes with your life because He is God. Trust Him because His way is always the best. It might not be what you want, but it will always be the best for you. When the storm is too high, a lonely tree will be facing the furious storm, its leaves  being blown away, the branches  breaking, but when the storm stops and everything becomes normal, the tree will be rejoicing because its roots have gone deep into  the soil and its now strongly anchored  and firmly rooted in the ground. That same analogy is true with us, the trouble is meant to bring us closer to God and by the time the trouble will be taken away, we shall find ourselves so much rooted and anchored in Christ.
When a child is about to get some strokes from the mother, he tends to be at the furthest point of the stroke, but when the caning gets  intense and pain increases, the child will be drawn closer and closer to the mother where the effort is so low and get hold of the mother’s cloth. And that’s it when we face the chastening of the Lord.
The Lord might  allow suffering to come your way as a way of purifying you, and also as a way to bring you closer to Himself when you turn away from Him.

Suffering as a way of purifying us.

“Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried ; but the wicked shall do wickedly : and none of the wicked shall understand ; but the wise shall understand.” Daniel 12:10
The worth of our salvation and our faithfulness to God must be tested to show our genuineness to God and through these sufferings we should learn patience
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations ; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” James 1: 2-4
“And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried : they shall call on my name, and I will hear them : I will say, It is my people : and they shall say, The Lord is my God.” Zechariah 13:9
“But who may abide the day of his coming ? and who shall stand when he appeareth ?  ¶ For he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap : and he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver : and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.” Malachi 3:2-3
The enemy will always whisper to us, and try to discourage us. Perhaps he would say to you that  Look you’re not going to make it! you’re going down!  You’re doomed! Where is your God now! Always remind him about your  Master and He will flee.

Suffering as a way of bringing  us back to God.

“…My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him : for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.” Hebrew 12:5-6
“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten : be zealous therefore, and repent.” Revelation 3:19
“My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord ; neither be weary of his correction :  for whom the Lord loveth he correcteth ;  even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.”Proverbs 3:11-12
This is our father's  love, He desires so much to show His Fatherly love to us wanting the best for His Children. So our saviour and Lord,  Jesus Christ expects us to run to Him in our times of sufferings and not away from Him. His sovereignty last forever and His mercy and goodness endures forever.     Amen and Amen
