MONEY IN THE CHURCH
Business in the House Of God
What has become of the Church? Where
is the Holiness of God? What is wrong with the Pentecost? Why money in the
Church? What does the bible really say
about money? Buying and selling is not bad. When it comes to God’s
sanctuary, then buying and selling is and should be least expected. Why do
people sell and buy the anointing of the Holy Spirit, how could this really be
possible. Who can buy from God? This act of blatant buying and selling in the House
of Jehovah God has led to great fall in the Church of Christ. It has given a way to materialism and
prosperity in the house of the Lord. The Father is not in any way pleased with
this blatant preaching of Money in His house. The House of God is a house of
prayer not a selling and buying ground. See what Jesus did when He found out
that His father’s house was turned into a business premise. The fact is even
worse that He found them selling “doves” a symbol of the Holy Spirit. Holy
Spirit can never be bought. No miracle can ever be bought. God cannot be
bribed. This is a great deception and a lie, Holy Spirit will only dwell on a
clean vessel , a holy vessel, a sanctified vessel, so let no one cheat you. The reason I share this is for
edification ,for a warning if you may be
experiencing this sort things in your
local church fellowship. Again this article is not against tithing but, blatant preaching and love of money in the Church.
“And Jesus went into the temple
of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew
the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves, and
said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer ;
but ye have made it a den of thieves…” Matthew 21:12-13
the church is turned into a
business house not only on the anointing but also others like buying of miracles,
sowing a seed to get miracles, this are not the way of true to get true
intimacy with God. The Lord wants us to seek Him in a more personal way, in a
closer relationship, in the high way of
Holiness. The Love of money is the root
of all evil, no nobody can serve two masters at the same time. You cannot serve
God and Money at the same, it is impossible.
“You were busy buying and selling
and this led you to violence and sin. So I forced you to leave my holy mountain, and the angel who guarded you drove
you away from the sparkling gems…. You did such evil in buying and selling that
your places of worship were corrupted…”
Ezekiel 28:16-18
The Repercussions of the Love of
money in the Church
- It leads to violence and sin.
- It drives us away from God’s presence
- The protection wall around us are brought down
- We lose the gifts of the Holy Spirit
- Our hearts become corrupted and the presence of God leaves
- It is a highway to the pits of hell
- Pretense and prejudice
- There is no power of God
As one
observes ,you can clearly see that there
is liberty of worship, There is emphasis on praise and song and emotional
engagement. But, there is no real power of God.
The Lord is not for the Love of
money, He feeds the faithful and they shall never go hungry, the Lord cares for
all their needs. He knows their wants. Due to lack of faith, men have gone miles a head into initiating ways of get money.
The following are sure promises of God taking care of us, we must not make something happen.
Philippians 4:19
And this same God who takes care of
me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been
given to us in Christ Jesus.
2 Peter 1:4
And because of his glory and
excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the
promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the
world’s corruption caused by human desires.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for
you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to
give you a future and a hope.
Matthew 11:28-29
“Come to me, all you who are weary and
burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from
me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for
your souls.
Romans 8:37-39
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
And I am convinced that nothing can
ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels
nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about
tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No
power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all
creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is
revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
