BORN OF GOD
BORN OF GOD
When you were physically born in
this world, you were born of your parents and into the world. So you were of
the world, born of the world and to the world, in a sinful nature of which you
couldn’t do anything about, under ruling spirit of this world. This type of
birth is the one in which most people are familiar with, mostly the
unbelievers.
A man named
Nicodemus was of great significance, he wrestled the thought down asked Jesus, “How can a man be born again when he is
old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born again?”
john3:3, 4. He was an intellectual, educated man with greater understanding,
an Israeli teacher yet baffled for how
could it be possible for a man, a well
developed grown man be born again.
“Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, very I say unto you,
unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. … I tell you the truth; no one can enter the
kingdom of God unless he is born of spirit and water. Flesh gives birth to
flesh and spirit gives birth to spirit.” John 3:3, 4, 5, 6
To be born again
spiritually then is to be born of God “Flesh
gives birth to flesh and spirit gives birth to spirit.” John 3:6 when we become
born of God, since He is a Spirit filled man then we become more of the spirit
to the flesh. His spiritual image is not corrupted, and that’s why He
reprimands us over and over again to flee the defilement and the corruptions
of this world, so that we would truly bare the image and likeness of Him.
Although a person may be saved or
born again, they may at the same time have a canal mind with natural
desires. The problem is that even after
accepting Jesus as your Lord and savior, your flesh and mind are still corrupt
and not in tune with God.
Your body or flesh had nothing
good in it , and is constantly at war
with God’s Spirit that is now in your.
“for I know that in me, that is my flesh; dwelleth no good thing for to will is present with me
but how to perform that which is good I find not.” Romans 7:5
You were born into this world as a trinity
being, with a soul, spirit and body (flesh), when all this aspects of your entity
fail to in tune God, and then you will end up being a canal Christian.
In
the process of being born a gain, the Lord call us from the Mud, sprinkles a
clean water on us that is, he washes us with the word, gives a new heart, then
place in us a new and a loyal spirit and
then takes away our stony, disobedient, and rebellious hearts and gives us a
humble heart of flesh. With this then, the Lord would right His laws in our
hearts and minds.
“Then I will sprinkle clean water upon, and you shall be clean from all
your uncleanness; and from your entire idols will I clean you. A new heart will
I give you and a new spirit will I put within you and
cause you to walk within my statutes, and you shall heed my ordinance and do them.” Ezekiel 36:25-27
When we become born of God, He gives as a new spirit. It is the spirit of God
that makes us become Children of God; heirs to the throne. Among the three aspects of our being, that is
the soul, body and the spirit, we see that the Lord renews our Spirit.
The only part of us that is born of God is our new Spirit! The flesh
and the mind are still capable of sinning.
The new spirit in us is from God
and is incapable of sinning since it is born of God and the Spirit of God
dwells in it. When we harbor the Holy Spirit in us, then Jesus Christ resides
in us, hence He who is in us becomes the source of all our good fruits.
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ
lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God,
who loved me and gave Himself for me,” Galatians 2:20
When we become born of God, then
His righteous Seed remains in us and we sin no more. That seed is Jesus Christ; the
seed of a woman, and is the only one that cannot sin!
“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for the seed remaineth
in him: and he cannot commit sin, because he is born of God.” 1 John 3:9
“For
you have been born again, not of the perishable seed, but of the imperishable,
through the living and enduring word of God.” 1 peter 1:23
“The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The scripture
does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,”
meaning one person, who is Christ.” Galatians 3:16
If the one becomes born of God,
then he is baptized into the body of Christ and becomes united to Christ and
becomes a heir to the Kingdom of God through Christ.
“If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs
according to the Promise.” Galatians 3:29
Whoever trusts, believes, adores
and walks in His will is born of God.
To Know about Jesus and to know
Jesus are two different things.
“Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and
everyone who loves the begotten also loves Him who begot.” I john 5:1
To be born of God is not just a
matter of believing, for even the demons believe that there is on God, they
have even a greater understanding of God that even Human beings can’t imagine. That’s
why they are really furious with those on a holy pilgrimage; the sons of God.
“When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked His disciples, “ who do people say the son of man is?” they replied,
“ some say John the Baptist; others say
Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” “But what about
you?” He asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon peter answered, “You are the Christ,
the son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed you are, Simon son of
Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in Heaven. And
I tell you that you are peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the
gates of Hades will not overcome it.” Matthew 16:13-18
Whoever will seek unto Jesus
personally and say, “Its all about you Jesus, you are everything in my life, I
hunger for you and I need you always, come dwell in me and teach me thy will
personally,” then that’s the Rock, and upon that rock Christ will manifest
Himself.
To believe without righteous
works is nothing, faith with action is dead.
To be born of God then results to a complete change of self
into a Christ like stature. That which is born of God has nothing in them that
will make others sin for in everything they work out of love (Christ).
In order to maintain the status
of the sonship, then we ought to live and walk the foot steps of Christ.
“Those who say that they remain in union with God should live just as
Jesus Christ did.” 1 John 1:6
whoever is truly born again ,will bare the following fruits.
Fruits of the spirit
Galatians 5: 22, 23. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.
The Apostle does not speak of the works of the Spirit as he spoke of the works of the flesh, but he attaches to these Christian virtues a better name. He calls them the fruits of the Spirit.
Love
It would have been enough to mention only the single fruit of love, for love embraces all the fruits of the Spirit. In I Corinthians 13, Paul attributes to love all the fruits of the Spirit: “Charity suffereth long, and is kind,” etc. Here he lets love stand by itself among other fruits of the Spirit to remind the Christians to love one another, “in honor preferring one another,” to esteem others more than themselves because they have Christ and the Holy Ghost within them.
Joy
Joy means sweet thoughts of Christ, melodious hymns and psalms, praises and thanksgiving, with which Christians instruct, inspire, and refresh themselves. God does not like doubt and dejection. He hates dreary doctrine, gloomy and melancholy thought. God likes cheerful hearts. He did not send His Son to fill us with sadness, but to gladden our hearts. For this reason the prophets, apostles, and Christ Himself urge, yes, command us to rejoice and be glad. “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem; behold, thy king cometh unto thee” (Zech. 9:9). In the Psalms we are repeatedly told to be “joyful in the Lord.” Paul says: “Rejoice in the Lord always.” Christ says: “Rejoice, for your names are written in heaven.”
Peace
Peace towards God and men. Christians are to be peaceful and quiet. Not argumentative, not hateful, but thoughtful and patient. There can be no peace without longsuffering, and therefore Paul lists this virtue next.
Longsuffering
Longsuffering is that quality which enables a person to bear adversity, injury, reproach, and makes them patient to wait for the improvement of those who have done him wrong. When the devil finds that he cannot overcome certain persons by force he tries to overcome them in the long run. He knows that we are weak and cannot stand anything long. Therefore he repeats his temptation time and again until he succeeds. To withstand his continued assaults we must be longsuffering and patiently wait for the devil to get tired of his game.
Gentleness
Gentleness in conduct and life. True followers of the Gospel must not be sharp and bitter, but gentle, mild, courteous, and soft-spoken, which should encourage others to seek their company. Gentleness can overlook other people’s faults and cover them up. Gentleness is always glad to give in to others. Gentleness can get along with forward and difficult persons, according to the old pagan saying: “You must know the manners of your friends, but you must not hate them.” Such a gentle person was our Savior Jesus Christ, as the Gospel portrays Him. Of Peter it is recorded that he wept whenever he remembered the sweet gentleness of Christ in His daily contact with people. Gentleness is an excellent virtue and very useful in every walk of life.
Goodness
A person is good when he is willing to help others in their need.
Faith
In listing faith among the fruits of the Spirit, Paul obviously does not mean faith in Christ, but faith in men. Such faith is not suspicious of people but believes the best. Naturally the possessor of such faith will be deceived, but he lets it pass. He is ready to believe all men, but he will not trust all men. Where this virtue is lacking men are suspicious, forward, and wayward and will believe nothing nor yield to anybody. No matter how well a person says or does anything, they will find fault with it, and if you do not humor them you can never please them. It is quite impossible to get along with them. Such faith in people therefore, is quite necessary. What kind of life would this be if one person could not believe another person?
Meekness
A person is meek when he is not quick to get angry. Many things occur in daily life to provoke a person’s anger, but the Christian gets over his anger by meekness.
Temperance
Christians are to lead sober and chaste lives. They should not be adulterers, fornicators, or sensualists. They should not be quarrelers or drunkards.

Sons of God walk in the Spirit.
God bless you!!
