Are You Born Again? by J. C. Ryle

Are you born again? This is one of life's most important questions. Jesus Christ said, "Except a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3). It is not enough to reply, "I belong to the church; I suppose I'm a Christian." Thousands of nominal Christians show none of the signs of being born again which the Scriptures have given us—many listed in the First Epistle of John.   1. No Habitual Sinning "No one who is born of God will continue to sin" (1 John 3:9). "We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin" (5:18). A person who has been born again, or regenerated, does not habitually commit sin. He no longer sins with his heart and will and whole inclination . There was probably a time when he did not think about whether his actions were sinful or not, and he did not always feel grieved after doing evil. There was no quarrel between...

The Power of the Holy Spirit by J. C. Ryle

There is hope in the Gospel for any man, so long as he lives. There is infinite willingness in Christ to pardon sin. There is infinite power in the Holy Spirit to change hearts. There are many diseases of the body which are incurable. The cleverest doctors cannot heal them. But, thank God! there are no incurable diseases of soul. All manner and quantity of sins can be washed away by Christ! The hardest and most wicked of hearts can be changed. Reader, I say again, while there is life—there is hope. The oldest, the vilest, the worst of sinners may be saved. Only let him come to Christ, confess his sin, and cry to Him for pardon—only let him cast his soul on Christ, and he shall be cured. The Holy Spirit shall be sent down on his heart, according to Christ's promise, and he shall be changed by His Almighty power, into a new creature. I never despair of anyone becoming a decided Christian, whatever he may have been in d...

A MIGHTY FULLFILMENT OF A VISION OF A ROAD ALL THE WAY INTO HEAVEN.

As spoken to me earlier by the Holy Spirit. The Lord has literally lowered the stairs down from heaven before the eyes of the nations so as to make them understand the times in which we are living in. Here is the exact link to the early prophecy...not edited.. http://preparep.blogspot.co.ke/2015/05/vision-of-glorious-road-from-earth-all.html And here is the link you can watch... The sword of the Lord

The spirit spoke to me once again. I was standing in an antic  war field and arrows and spears were flying across the sky. It was a real war. The sky was gloomy and the solders were well groomed in an antic way. I saw in a flash, a lightning moving from east to west and within a twinkle of an eye, a huge flaming being was standing in front of me. In His hand was a flaming sword. The sword had a golden appearance and a sylver like double edged sharp edges. All over the sword was a latin inscriptions well engraved, the handle was of diamond. As the mighty warrior of the heavenly hosts was still standing there before me, He lifted up the sword while standing on the chariot of fire and He said " Behold the Sword of the Spirit". He gave the sword to me with an assurance that that was all i needed in such a time as this when the war was at its peak. The entire scene was what we call a real "lollapalooza" the vision ended. Friends, we need to prepare for the coming of...

The Potter Works Only with Soft Clay! ~ K.P. Yohannan

When I was a boy, growing up in India, I often went to a potter’s house near my high school. I was fascinated watching him make clay vessels. During those visits, I never saw the potter take a hardened lump of clay and put it on his wheel to make something out of it. He, like every other potter in the world, used only soft and tender clay to work with. So does God! The prophet Jeremiah tells us that God is like a potter and His people are the clay that He wants to form into a beautiful vessel. In order to accomplish this, God looks for soft and pliable hearts. Man measures the quality and usefulness of a person by his education, ability and expertise. Yet God determines a person’s true value by the condition of his or her heart: “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7, niv). I used to watch that same potter soften the clay. Day after day he would pour water on it and pound it thoroughly until it became soft. It took God 2...

THE BRIDE FINALLY PRESENTED

On the throne sat t he mightiest and holiest of all Beings that ever trod our world — was the meekest of all. The Ancient of Days — was as the "infant of days." He who had listened to nothing but angel-melodies from all eternity, found, while on earth, melody in the lisping’s of an infant's voice, or in an outcast's tears! No wonder an innocent lamb was His emblem, or that the anointing Spirit came down upon Him in the form of the gentle dove . He had the wealth of worlds at His feet. The hosts of heaven had only to be summoned as His retinue. But all the pageantry of the world, all its dreams of carnal glory, had, for Him — no fascination. Finally the daughter of Zion was brought before Him who lives forever. She had passed through supernatural, quiet purging. And ushered in with glory unfathomable into the presence of the king of kings. She had been chosen, loved and pleased of the Lord. She had the Spirit of Him who sat on the throne. As beautiful as she was, ...

SICKNESS

J.C. Ryle, 1878 "Lord, he whom You love is sick!" John 11:3 The chapter from which this text is taken, is well known to all Bible readers. In life-like description, in touching interest, in sublime simplicity — there is no writing in existence that will bear comparison with that chapter. A narrative like this is to my own mind, one of the great proofs of the inspiration of Scripture. When I read the story of Bethany, I feel "There is something here which the infidel can never account for. This is nothing else but the finger of God!" The words which I specially dwell upon in this chapter are singularly affecting and instructive. They record the message which Martha and Mary sent to Jesus when their brother Lazarus was sick: "Lord, he whom You love is sick!" That message was short and simple. Yet almost every word is deeply suggestive. Mark the child-like faith of these holy women. They turned to the Lord Jesus in their hour of need, a...
